Architect
The AI-assisted workspace for drafting, editing, reviewing, saving, and deploying infrastructure configurations.
Component
A service or managed infrastructure resource in a configuration, such as a database, queue, bucket, table, cache, event stream, search index, volume, or Bedrock agent.
Configuration
A versioned desired definition of project components and their environment-specific settings.
Deployment
For a service, the operation that activates a release in an environment. For infrastructure, a recorded operation that applies a configuration to an environment or shared resources.
Environment
A lifecycle stage such as development, staging, or production. Components share the project environment set but can use different capacity, retention, access, or exclusion settings in each one.
Organisation
The shared boundary for members, AWS connections, Git connections, and projects.
Package
An immutable application build created from a repository revision.
Plan
A tracked sequence of build or deploy steps across one or more services in an environment.
Preview environment
A temporary environment used to review infrastructure or application changes without altering a long-lived lifecycle environment.
Project
The boundary for one workload's environments, services, infrastructure history, access groups, monitoring, and deployments.
Release
A named, deployable selection of a successful service package.
Revision
A recorded infrastructure deployment created when a configuration is diffed, deployed, or destroyed.
Service
An application component with source, build, runtime, networking, environment, metrics, and deployment settings.
Target
The AWS or managed runtime used by a service, such as a container, function, static site, virtual machine, build-only job, or mobile builder.
Uptime monitor
A repeated HTTP check for one service and environment, with history and optional publication on the project's status page.
