Connect Source Control

Connect GitHub or GitLab accounts and make repositories available to services.

Organisation Git connections give StationOps read access to the repositories selected during provider authorisation. The current application supports GitHub and GitLab connections.

Connect an Account

  1. Open the organisation's Settings > Git connections.
  2. Select Connect GitHub Account, or open the additional-provider menu and select Connect GitLab Account.
  3. Complete the provider authorisation flow.
  4. Return to StationOps and confirm the connection status succeeds.
  5. Review the repository names listed under the connection.

Use the Connection

When configuring a service, select the connection, repository, and default branch. The connection must include the repository before it appears in the service source selector.

Public repositories may be used by URL in flows that support public source. Private repositories require an authorised connection.

Access Guidance

  • Grant only the repositories StationOps needs.
  • Prefer organisation-managed connections over personal credentials for production workloads.
  • Remove access for retired repositories and former owners.
  • Reauthorise the provider connection if repository access changes are not reflected.
